Other Updates

A ‘Respect’ workshop was held at the end of March at The Den Youth House. 12 young males aged 12-19 from the local area attended and received inputs from Police including Firearms Dept, Youth Offender Team and the Government Anti-Youth Violence worker. The session was well received by the young people

The Respect Workshop was followed by a five a side football match between police and over 16s ‘youth’ teams at Swanshurst Leisure Centre. It was a hard fought match with the youth team being the eventual winners.

Several members of the youth team and some girls from the area are now working with the Youth leaders and police towards their junior coaching level 1 award, which will allow them to coach younger people.
